A Toronto Blue Jay for Five Years.

Ricky Romero just agreed upon an offer with the Jays which will pay him just north of 30 million dollars for the next 5 years. This is a very important deal for the Jays.
With just 2 seasons of pitching for the Blue Jays, and being only 25 years old, Romero has been strong for the Jays this year.
The deal is a bit uncertain with only 2 years of big league experience. The Toronto Blue Jays see Romero as a future ace and needed to lock him up to sensible terms. They like his competition level and his improving emotional and physical control.
Romero joins Shaun Marcum atop the club win totals with 10 each. Morrow and Cecil have 9 wins. With all four pitchers in their mid twenties, the Jays future pitching staff looks exciting. Marcum is the eldest at 28 and Cecil is 24 years of age.
